U.S. Ties With Ex-Nazis Stronger Than Previously Thought

The Guardian reports,

The U.S. government threw moral qualms to the wind in employing ex-Nazis after World War II, contend historians who examined a mountain of declassified papers released Thursday.

The government “dishonored the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and American soldiers who died,” said Elizabeth Holtzman, member of a government-appointed group studying millions of pages of files from that era.

The research, presented in a new book called U.S. Intelligence and the Nazis, also provides evidence of U.S. awareness of mass-exterminations in Nazi Germany far in advance of America’s public admission to such awareness. In other words, not only did they know it was happening and not do anything, but the U.S. was employing as many Nazis as it could get its hands on after the war. Yet somehow we trust them now when they ally with us on Israel…
