The Simpsons Gemara
If you’re baffled at what you’re looking at here, you might recall that fateful Simpsons episode, “Like Father, Like Clown,” when Bart makes a Talmudic argument on Krusty’s behalf in order to reunite the estranged shababnik with his heimishe father. It has, indeed, been floating around for a while, but in honor of Purim (which is just around the corner), we’ve resurrected this lost classic — a full page of Gemara based upon the episode, created by Noah Gradofsky — and humbly offer it to you for your edification and amusement. Click here to download.
The question that comes to mind is – why has no one commented on this post? What does that say about your readership?
I just wanted to comment to dispel the impression that the readership of this blog doesn’t comment. Oh, and the Simpsons rule 🙂
One of the funniest post things I’ve ever read. Not one detail left out. Thanks for sharing.
what it might say is that people don’t hang out on the interweb on sundays but rather waste time online during office hours
Excellent!
And you are right, office hours and the best time to hang out online.
Glad to see my creation has made it to blogs! A friend of mine came across it. If any of you have websites and care to link, the link is http://www.e-ark.net/simpsons.html.
As a gratuitious link, I am the Rabbi of Temple Israel of Long Beach New York, http://www.templeisraeloflb.org. I say this largely in case google indexes this site. But besides, our “Extras” section has lots of good learning and information tools.
Shalom,
Noah
